See Now, Buy Now: Amberjack Is Making Some of the Best Sneaker Boots Around With Its New Element Hybrid Shoes

Amberjack men's sneakerboots review.

For as much as the fall season is about getting back to wearing your favorite boots in brisk fall weather, it’s also about optimizing comfort and versatility (there’s that word, optimizing) in your footwear game. There’s a time and a place for sturdy work boots, for elegant Chelsea boots and for rugged lace-up boots, and there’s a time — especially when traveling from point A to point B, as I have these days — for going big on comfort and wearability.

Some brands, like Amberjack, make it a major priority to serve up comfort and style in spades, and that certainly holds true with the pair of footwear (or pairs, rather) in the spotlight today. Inquiring minds, scroll on.

One of the latest releases from the New York City-designed brand fuses the company’s famed emphasis on athletic footwear with technology with an ultra-lightweight, tech-savvy yet stylish knit upper in a sneakerboot design, and across the past two weeks (as you’ve perhaps seen on my Instagram), I’ve put the Amberjack Element Boots to the test in fine fashion.

From suede chukka boots to sneakers to the proprietary technology found in its sleek leather loafers and dress, my past Amberjack reviews have found that comfort is indeed king, and these stylish men’s sneakerboots pass muster in that regard, too.

The use of a waterproof stretch knit upper pairs perfectly with its performance EVA outsole, while heat-activated midsole technology serves up all-day support and rebound potential. The padded heel collar also has proven supremely comfortable and supportive through my cross-country travels, and the easy-lace system is streamlined, rather than cumbersome.

I also appreciate the soft-impact heel technology and the anti-slip rubber pads — and yes, the Amberjack Element Boots are indeed as waterproof as the company says. Full-grain leather panels add a dressy dash of flair to these men’s sneakerboots, and the Chestnut pair I selected wears well with everything from navy or olive chinos to khaki five-pocket pants and of course, classic dark blue denim.

As Amberjack sagely says, “you don’t have to choose between style and comfort,” and that’s a great thing in my book. If you’ve tried Amberjack men’s dress shoes before, you know what you’re getting into — in the best way possible, that is. And if you haven’t yet stepped into fresh men’s shoes from Amberjack, the Amberjack Element Boots are as great a place to start as any. Go forward in style and with comfort in mind, my friends.
