See Now, Buy Now: Kyrgies Socks are Some of the Best USA-Made Socks Money Can Buy

Best USA-made socks.

Every so often, you come across a brand that elevates a certain category and changes the way you think about how you put together your wardrobe — that approach is evident in big-ticket items, like an American-made blazer, but what about the socks you wear every day?

The details are truly in the difference, and that’s why I’ve been so impressed as of late with the USA-made socks being produced carefully and diligently by Kyrgies.

The Virginia-based company is perhaps best known for its slippers and house shoes produced in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, but the brand’s USA-made socks have caught my eye as of late — for their production and fabrication as well as their quality and durability. Kyrgies Homespun Socks have proven as reliable as any in my wardrobe, with a difference you can feel right out of the box — and onto your feet, of course.

Helpfully, they’re available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes (a terrific His-and-Hers gift, if I do say so myself!), and these Climate Beneficial Verified socks are a level up from a typical pair of socks in every way possible. Kyrgies Homespun Socks start with a blend of cotton, alpaca and American fine wool, and it’s both soft and supple yet durable enough to stand up to wearing with leather boots, as I found out on a recent trip to the Italian Dolomites.

Each component of every pair of Kyrgies Homespun Socks is truly American-made, from cotton sourced in California’s San Joaquin Valley to fiber from alpacas raised and sheared in North Salem, New York, plus wool sourced from in Dixon, California.

A very small amount of nylon and lycra gives these socks some structure and helps them to stay in place at your calves — a crucial touch that doesn’t take away from their natural sourcing and production efforts, at least in my experience.

In terms of style points, these made-in-America socks come in three versatile colors: Caramel, Seafoam and Navy (navy is my personal favorite). Plus, the combination of a thick vertical ribbed knit from the toe all the way up to a thinner, more snug vertical knit at your calf is an ingenious touch that ensures a secure fit.

Each pair of Kyrgies Homespun Socks is an investment in the best: An investment in quality, style and a better, more carefully considered way of doing things. Add them to your basics drawer accordingly, my friends.

See Now, Buy Now: WORN Brand Is Making Some of the Best Men’s Socks to Wear With Your Favorite Boots

I don’t know about you, but I tend to build my winter style ensembles from the ground up, or at least, I tend to start with something like my favorite pair of boots, and then model the #OOTD from around there. But before the rest of that can take place, I like to focus on what’s going into those boots — namely, a pair of the best socks to wear with boots can make all the difference in terms of comfort, performance and style.

In fact, I’d wager that if you’re not wearing a pair of the best boot socks for men, then, well, you’re taking away from the experience of wearing stylish leather boots altogether. That goes for, again, comfort as well as performance, and this is where my new friends at WORN Brand Socks come into play.

I’ve had the chance to test out WORN Brand over the past few weeks, and I’m more than pleased with the results, as you’ll find in the rest of my (relatively quick-hit!) WORN brand socks review.

That includes pairing Hudson Valley-based WORN Brand Socks with some of my favorite leather boots and shoes around Brooklyn — heading out to one of NYC’s best cocktail bars, stepping into boots for rock concerts and wearing these stylish, comfortable men’s socks during daily strolls. And as you can see at the top of the page, these merino wool socks pack in tons of helpful features.

For starters, WORN Enhanced Boot Socks feature a height that specifically works with lace-up boots and Chelsea boots of all sorts.

That’s helpful if ever you’ve found yourself wearing socks that don’t quite have enough length or coverage. WORN also uses its own Arrowool fabric, an organic merino material that’s ultra-soft and cushioned, yet nicely breathable and durable. I’ve also found that the WORN Enhanced Boot Socks deliver plenty of arch support, and the fit is snug without being too tight (no need to worry about your favorite boot socks sliding down or moving around all day long).

Elsewhere, the brand gives you the option to buy its socks in helpful 2-pack or 3-pack sets, and while they’re certainly pricier than other socks, the comfort, style points and performance materials are next-level, at least in my opinion.

And in matters of style, WORN Brand Socks have passed muster — I appreciate the mix of colorblocked and striped designs in rich, dark and versatile colors that pair well with other shades in terms of fall and winter trousers. This certainly won’t be the last time you hear about WORN Brand Socks, so keep an eye out as you search for some of the best men’s socks to wear with boots this season (and well beyond).
