The Friday Read: Breitling’s New Watch, The Bespoke Post Holiday Shop & The Best Luxury Gifts

Bespoke Post Holiday Shop

Stock up right this instant with some of the best holiday gifts for men right now at Bespoke Post.

My friends, have you recovered from last week’s Thanksgiving shenanigans yet? Whether yours was largely virtual via Zoom or you held a small family gathering, I hope you took advantage of some downtime, some delicious food (and beer!) and of course, some of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. A few of those deals are still running, in fact, but there’s one place in particular I’m going to call out as part of the start of today’s Friday Read, and that’s the Bespoke Post Holiday Shop. As you can see above, the NYC-based retailer’s shop is packed with some of the best gifts for men, from shirting to EDC essentials, bar cart picks and much, much, much more. Of course, I’ll share some of my own picks below when it comes to holiday shopping for the guys on your list.

With that being said, I’m looking forward to being back in Brooklyn after a safe holiday trip to Florida (a celebration of four!). On the agenda: Some digital holiday shopping, some craft beer imbibing, some blogging and of course, some work on my Instagram. If you’ve got some downtime on your hands, I recommend you hit subscribe on my newsletter, The Style Guide In Brief. It’s a twice-weekly supplement to this blog, diving deeper into three of my passions: Music, menswear and craft beer (or whiskey, or coffee), all centered around a featured song of the week and themed picks (think a song by The Killers, and some Brandon Flowers-inspired menswear). You’ll get it every Tuesday and Saturday if you so choose, and right in your inbox! OK, that’s all on the newsletter front for now. Here are the rest of my shopping and reading picks for your weekend. Cheers!

Jack Black Grooming Review

Just one excellent offering from the Jack Black Holiday Grooming Shop, folks.

  • If I had to make one recommendation for both yourself and the well-groomed guys in your life, it would be to shop Jack Black Grooming and the brand’s holiday gift sets ASAP. The Jack Black Holiday Grooming Shop is packed with stocking stuffers, full-scale grooming sets and so much more. The offering includes the ever-popular Jack’s Most Wanted Set, featuring — among other picks — cleanser, a moisturizer and body lotion (from the brand’s Black Reserve Suite). It’s a great way to get the guy in your life some of the best grooming essentials out there, and it comes complete with a functional and travel-ready dopp kit. Cross another gift off the list, my friends.
  • We’ve just talked about accessible grooming gifts, but let’s take things up a notch right now. I had the chance to check out some seriously covetable and drool-worthy gifts for GearMoose, resulting in 10 fine-as-can-be picks covering the best luxury gifts for the person who has everything. There are truly some stunners on that list, from a Tom Ford leather jacket to an incredible Rolex watch. How can it get any better than that?
  • As promised in the headline, it’s high time you *dove* into one of the most premium watches on the market. Consider it an extreme investment for yourself or for the lover of extremely cool and investment-level watches in your life. We’re talking, in this case, about the Breitling x Outerknown Superocean Heritage ’57 Watch, as covered by yours truly for Maxim. It’s a stunner of a timepiece, with two options that retail for more than $4,000. Shop accordingly.

Thanksgiving might be in the rearview mirror, but we’re in the thick of the holiday season, and even in these trying times, that still presents quite a few opportunities for looking your best (casually and safely, of course). That’s where my #OOTD on how to dress for a casual holiday is going to come in mighty handy. How about that, ehh? Enjoy the weekend, enjoy your Friday and be sure to step out in style when the time comes.
