When adventure calls, as I’ve learned in my many freelance writing pursuits, I find it’s best to heed that call and hit the road. That holds true whether it’s trekking to a USA-made menswear factory, writing about one of the best new watches on the market or trying out a fine dram of new whiskey.
It’s that final pursuit that finds me hitting the road once again today, and it’s also that final pursuit that finds me trekking to one of my favorite places on the planet: The city of Dublin and the lovely Irish countryside. I was last in Dublin last spring, as I visited the countryside and County Wicklow with Glendalough Gin, and this spring’s trip is in a similar vein.

What’s on tap and in my glass? A special press trip with acclaimed and iconic Irish whiskey company Tullamore D.E.W., this time in celebration of new Tullamore D.E.W. Honey. On the itinerary is some time spent strolling and sipping in Dublin, plus two nights in Galway, plenty of Irish whiskey and distillery behind-the-scenes looks, and a stop at a legendary hurling match (yes, hurling — what a sport!).
Of course, you can follow along with all the fun on my Instagram, and you can still expect regular dispatches on the best men’s spring style and more. I’ll certainly be packing my favorite spring menswear from retailers like Huckberry, as the blustery Irish spring weather will call for some of the best waxed jackets on the market.
For now, let me point you to yesterday’s post on one of the best spring blazers, a fine way to outfit yourself in tailored style for the weekend ahead. Tomorrow’s Style Pick of the Week promises a tried-and-true spring style essential, as well. And in the meantime: Cheers, thank you for reading and thank you for your support!
