The Friday Read: Flint and Tinder Mill Pants, New Balance x Todd Snyder and Maggie Rogers

You see the Flint and Tinder Mill Pants pictured aobve? To me, they’re a fall style essential — and the ideal way to kick off today’s Friday Read. They’ll work for a brewery visit — or brewing your own beer. They’ll work for a day hike. They’ll work for an impromptu weekend coffee date. They’ll work anywhere you do, mostly. Who’s with me? And  wh’ else is ready for the weekend? We’ve kept busy as of late on the blog, telling you all about the best new field watch to pick up for the season, while also keeping you updated on all the men’s style picks your wardrobe deserves. And if you’re anything like me, you’re likely very excited that the weather is taking a turn toward fall. For me, that means plenty of time spent in Prospect Park and enjoying rich fall beers at places like the excellent Greenpoint Beer & Ale. How about you? It’s not all fun and games, though.

#OOTD: The Best Way to Wear a Henley for Fall and Winter

Don’t yet have a rugged henley in your closet? Or perhaps you do, and you’re in need of a new way to wear it? Dare I say, the BEST way to wear it? #OOTD: How to Wear an Oxford Shirt for the Fall Season

In today’s #OOTD, we’re going to get right to the business of updating you on how to wear your Oxford shirt this season. Make no mistake, as I’ve talked about since the start of this blog (way back in 2013!), the Oxford shirt is assuredly a men’s style essential — and it’s one that can be worn in more ways than you think. Especially when it’s a stylish Oxford shirt like the Flint and Tinder Garment-Dyed Oxford,  Starting with the best building blocks — not just cheap building blocks — can be crucial to putting together the right outfit, and the Flint and Tinder Garment-Dyed Oxford is among the best out there. When you match it up with a more casual piece — like a French terry crewneck sweatshirt — and then mix that combo up with the Taylor Stitch Democratic Chinos, you’re certainly setting yourself up for success.
