The Sunday Sale: Shop Huckberry’s Fourth of July Sale to Save as Much as 40% On the Best Gear and Menswear

Best summer gear from Huckberry 2025.

There are certain rites of passage in the world of the best summer menswear, particularly when it comes to welcoming new style essentials into your rotation and refining tried-and-true favorites.

And there’s no time like the Fourth of July and Fourth of July weekend to celebrate the season at hand with the best new menswear and gear — especially on-sale selections from a fan-favorite retailer like Huckberry, the brand behind everything from rugged leather hiking boots to crisply cut denim, expertly crafted linen shirts, handsome swim trunks and even a series of exclusive field watches and the best everyday carry gear.

That’s why we’re here today: To take stock of your menswear rotation as we cross into the next leg of summer, and to perhaps encourage you to thoughtfully retool and revamp your closet of the best men’s style essentials for summer. You can certainly find plenty of ways to do that right now within the Huckberry Sale section.

I personally spend plenty of time in the Huckberry Sale section perusing some of the finest gear – from stylish sneakers to breezy shirting, everyday carry essentials, summer swimwear and much more.

And now, it’s all on sale for as much as 40 percent off. How’s that for getting savings on gear you can wear right away? Not bad at all, particularly when you consider the sort of gear that’s up for grabs right now this fine Fourth of July weekend.

Right now, I’ve got my eye on the tastefully designed, versatile Luca Terra Low Leather Sneakers, plus seriously discounted Huckberry Walden Eyewear sunglasses. There are even savings to be had on Relwen’s soft-as-can-be Jersey Stripe Polo, the kind of shirt that can be worn with everything from stretch chinos and leather loafers to lounge shorts and white canvas sneakers.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg: There are serious savings to be had within the Huckberry Sale section as we close out the Fourth of July weekend and roll right into the rest of summer. Go to it and get out there in style, my friends.

The Friday Read: The Very Best Fourth of July Weekend Sales & A Brazilian Getaway

Huckberry Summer 2025 menswear.

After a bit of a vacation from our Friday Read dispatch last week, we’re back in fine form to roll into the holiday weekend — with as much leisure, style and cold beer as our friends at Huckberry shown above. As it were for the Fourth of July weekend, I’ll miss out on the holiday itself: My latest international jaunt has taken me (along with my lovely Mary!) south of the Equator to Brazil to celebrate a close friend’s wedding in Sao Paulo — and our trip has gone beyond the major metropolis and on out to Atibaia, Monte Verde and more.

While the first leg of our trip saw us exploring Sao Paulo largely on foot (and by car), from rooftops to basement bars and sidewalk cafes, the next leg took us to the rolling mountains and foothills of Atibaia.

We’ve spent this last handful of days with a collection of American friends taking in the impossibly cool Mid-Century Modern designs of a lavish home dreamed up by renowned Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan (boasting four Eames chairs and a host of impeccable touches beyond that!). Even on the heels of a global jaunt to Amsterdam with Heineken late last month, our two-leg trip has proven invigorating, rather than exhausting — it’s funny how that works out, ehh?

Our time in Brazil has been wide-ranging, vivid and impossibly memorable, from a guided Jeep and hiking tour through Monte Verde to a positively delicious visit to Destilaria Monte Verde, not to mention rooftop sunset viewings and stops at both the Dengo and Sabor chocolate enterprises. Traditional Brazilian music, rich and strong Brazilian coffee, a multitude of Caipirinhas, even a Brazilian IPA or two were also very much in the mix.

There’s something vibrant and immediately inspiring about Sao Paulo: Chaotic though the city can be, with its massive melting pot of Brutalist and contemporary architecture, modern enterprise and old-world history, it’s simply one of the most distinct and engaging cities I’ve ever had the chance to visit (and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’m fortunate enough to travel the world for both work and play very, very frequently).

I look forward to the day I can return, ideally with another large group stay at a house designed by renowned Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan — talk about quite the way to spend your holiday weekend (take another look at the house both above and below, courtesy of Sotheby’s and Bossa Nova).

For your own pursuits far afield, allow me to offer some gear recommendations, particularly when it comes to your wrist game: I wrote just yesterday about a rugged Shinola ceramic watch that’s built for each and every summer adventure. A stylish hemp buttondown from Flint and Tinder (which happens to be on sale right now!) might also prove fitting for day-to-night style, especially in the breezy climes of Brazil.

But for now, let’s turn our attention to the holiday weekend and to a carefully picked handful of the best 4th of July sales for menswear, gear and more right now — these are my top-of-the-line selections from just a small handful of your favorite brands, all fit for the days and weeks ahead.

And naturally, we’re back here on Saturday and Sunday with a duo of style selections. Cheers to travel, to fun in the sun, to cold beer and to a laidback holiday weekend, my friends.

Let’s keep this weekend rolling with a few quick sale picks, shall we? Here’s what I’ve got my eyes on for Fourth of July style, and since so many sales abound, I’m limiting this to my top five right now.

  • Huckberry: Your favorite online gear and menswear retailer is offering up to 40% off via the Huckberry Sale section.
  • Billy Reid: Here’s a standout sale from one of my favorite designers — get up to 30% off a mix of classic and modern Americana menswear.
  • Bespoke Post: Visit the NYC-based retailer and score at least 40% off gear, home goods, menswear and more.
  • Mack Weldon: Take 25% off the performance menswear company’s Summer Collection when you buy 2 or more products, with no code necessary.
  • Todd Snyder: Take an extra 20% off on-sale designer menswear from the iconic American brand with the code EXTRA20 through the Todd Snyder Summer Sale.

That’ll wrap up today’s latest weekend-ready dispatch — again, I’m wishing you fun in the sun with family and friends, plus a hearty dose of cold beer, along with menswear and gear savings aplenty. Thanks for reading, folks!

The Sunday Sale: This Bonobos Everyday Shirt is a Discounted Steal for Your Daily Menswear Rotation

If you think of your rotation of men’s style essentials like a toolbox, as we often talk about here on this Brooklyn style blog, then there are certain must-haves that make up the backbone, the sort of pieces you can always use close at hand. No matter the season, and no matter (nearly) any occasion, the best Oxford shirts for men certainly qualify as a must-have, and the Bonobos Everyday Shirt shown above fits the bill handsomely.

Wearable with everything from a blazer and stretch chinos to rolled light wash denim and canvas sneakers, as at home tucked in with linen trousers or untucked alongside trusty jeans, the best men’s Oxford shirts really are a daily staple when done the right way, and the Bonobos Everyday Shirt certainly qualifies.

Able to be taken for a spin at the office or alongside lounge shorts at a weekend BBQ, the details are thoughtfully curated here, not unlike Bonobos’ world-famous, effortlessly cool men’s chinos.

The Bonobos Everyday Shirt boasts soft Oxford cotton finished with 2 percent elastane for helpful stretch, and it doesn’t hurt that one of the best Oxford shirts for guys looks great tucked in or untucked. As with other Bonobos menswear selections, I’ve found that the fit is nicely tailored without being overly tight or overly relaxed — the Bonobos Everyday Shirt comes in four fit options (from Tailored to Athletic), plus three lengths for an expert cut and finish.

And if you look closely, the Bonobos Everyday Shirt nails Oxford shirting details, from the buttondown collar to the chest pocket, plus sleeves that look great buttoned up or rolled up, ready to get to work. A selection of classic solid colors are on sale in a wide range of sizes for nearly 50 percent off, with dozens more color and pattern options on sale for more than 50 percent off.

And since it’s Bonobos we’re talking about here, I’ve found that stellar value is simply the name of the game — alongside easily wearable quality any day of the week. For versatile everyday performance, crisp looks and casually cool style this season, opt for a true modern classic in the Bonobos Everyday Shirt, my friends.

The Friday Read: A Trek to Amsterdam with Heineken & The Best Summer Travel Gear

In this freelance life (or the #FreelanceLife, as I like to call it), incredible opportunities come across my inbox and my line of sight on the daily. That includes the chance to pursue my passions, to write about the best menswear from brands like Huckberry on this very blog, to test out new watches, audio gear and everyday carry essentials, and to try the finest spirits and the best summer beers on the market — among other pursuits, of course.

And helpfully as I cover a wide array of pursuits for sites like Maxim and CoolMaterial.com, I frequently get the chance to hit the road, go far afield and uncover stories behind iconic brands, distilleries and breweries.

It’s a thrilling opportunity, and one that takes me now over to the iconic city of Amsterdam — celebrating its 750th anniversary as a city! — plus famed worldwide brewer Heineken. There’s plenty on tap, including fresh Heineken beer, a tour of the city’s canals, a visit to Heineken’s new R&D center, and a tour of the brewery itself — naturally, you can keep up with all of the fun over on my Instagram. Cheers, my friends!

Of course, for trips like these, I know the right gear goes a long way, especially when it comes to plenty of time on foot exploring a new city and an iconic brewery like Heineken. I trust favorite retailers like Huckberry for ultra-soft cotton tees and (if needed), the famed Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket for spring and summer rains (and more).

I also value comfortable stretch denim and denim shirting from Buck Mason, and lately, I’ve been wearing Ariat Chelsea boots for some rugged-meets-refined appeal.

As to those boots, they’re as easy to dress up with stretch chinos as they are to dress down with rolled blue jeans and another staple piece, Filson’s Frontier Short-sleeve Henley.

In addition to durable travel gear, I’ve also been favoring stretch pants from Public Rec, especially ones with the design of five-pocket pants and the stretch of tapered joggers.

And not to be outdone or overlooked, let’s talk the best watches for travel: Lately, my Shinola Bronze Monster has found place of pride on my wrist (and in my duffel bag). Speaking of duffel bags and the best men’s travel bags: I tend to trust my ever-helpful Halfday Travel bag, with a garment bag interior and multiple pockets for shoes, men’s basics and more.

It hits all the right notes in terms of easy transport on the go — very much including occasions when I need to bring my Relwen Flyweight Flex Blazer, as with this trip and formal nights out in Amsterdam.

My Halfday travel bag has more than served me well on past jaunts, including an April trek to Tequila Ocho, a trek into the Italian Dolomites with audio brand Sonos and even a recent family wedding in Knoxville. To say it’s an efficient travel bag to zip from point A to point B is an understatement, and it also more than reliably holds my trusty toiletries bag from Herschel Supply.

The list of the best travel gear goes on and on, but once you find picks that you love and that serve you well, it makes packing and traveling in style a relative breeze (as does TSA Precheck, of course).

What sort of travel gear do you bring on your own adventures? And what’s next on your personal summer getaway to-do list? Be sure to follow along with all the fun — and my gear picks, and my watch picks — over on my Instagram as I scour Amsterdam for the very best of the best. As ever, expect two weekend style posts covering the best summer gear and menswear from retailers like Huckberry

The Tuesday Steal: Get These Rugged Naglev Boots from Huckberry for Your Next Summer Trip Off the Grid

The next time you get the chance to gear up and get out there, to really go off trail or even off the grid, you should assuredly be lacing up a pair of the best hiking boots. In my experience, there are pairs that rise above the rest, even in a crowded menswear market, and when one of those pairs — specifically the hard-wearing Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots — goes on sale, that’s all the better.

You’re in luck today, and if you’re open to striking while the iron is hot, so to speak, then Huckberry’s latest and greatest footwear find is yours for the taking. The Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots are a fan favorite as sold by the rugged Americana and gear retailer, to say the least. They often tend to sell out, but some of the best men’s boots are still in stock and marked down (for now) in a variety of sizes. What makes these tough-as-nails boots so special? Let’s dive in, shall we?

They’re built with impressive specs and a sleek, modern combat boot design geared to go just about anywhere you can dream up. And seeing as they’re now on sale for about 35 percent off, I’d wager there’s never been a better time to upgrade your summer hiking boots rotation. The hard-working Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots feature plenty of bells and whistles, starting with a Kevlar outer shell that’s complemented by a wool inner boot for a snug fit and further protection from the elements.

Integrated speed lacing makes for a secure fit and an easy wearing experience when it comes to the Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots, while a grooved natural rubber outsole delivers maximum traction on dicey terrain. The combat boot length of the aptly named Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots provides further coverage and ankle support, and the vegetable-tanned leather and coconut fiber inner footbed molds to your foot over time for a supremely comfortable wearing experience.

They feature a sleek, streamlined look, the kind you can even wear with canvas pants when you’re not on the trail. The Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots are rounded out with an elastic ankle band for a fit that just won’t quit — support is surely the name of the game with what just might be your new favorite boots.

The next time adventure calls, lace up the hard-working, built-to-last Naglev Combat Waterproof Boots, and rest assured they’ll deliver the performance you need — no matter how far afield you venture.

The Friday Read: A Trek to Rabbit Hole Distillery & Huckberry Summer Menswear Classics

We’re launching into another action-packed Brooklyn summer weekend and getting back down to business after plenty of time on the road — join me, won’t you?

As you might have seen if you follow me on Instagram, and if you keep up with my many freelance writing pursuits, I spent the better part of last week in Louisville, Kentucky, the heart of American bourbon country and a place I’ve trekked to quite frequently this last handful of years as I cover spirits, gear and more for outlets like Maxim.

Of course, it goes without saying that this Brooklyn style blog keeps me plenty busy as well, as I scour the market for the best menswear essentials from tried-and-true brands — several of which I get to review and write about as I crisscross the country! More on that in the weeks ahead as my summer travel schedule ramps up.

The occasion for the trip was a rather special one – as tends to be the case when I head to the heartland of stellar bourbon, and one I’d had on my bucket list for some time now. I had the chance to visit Rabbit Hole Distillery alongside a group of fellow spirits pros and writers, not to mention distillery founder and bourbon innovator Kaveh Zamanian.

It’s among the finest whiskey I’ve had in some time (particularly the Boxergrain expression), although I’d also count Maker’s Mark Star Hill Farms — as seen below! — as another winning selection in my quest to taste the best bourbon on the planet.

He founded Rabbit Hole a little more than a decade ago after a career as a therapist, a fascinating pivot that lends itself nicely to experimentation and a sense of attention to detail. After humble beginnings building the distillery from the ground up, Rabbit Hole now makes some of the most innovative American whiskey out there, with an equally innovative distillery design to match (it’s situated in NuLu, a buzzed-about and up-and-coming neighborhood with plenty of character).

The distillery, now owned by Pernod Ricard, uses extremely distinct malting processes and mash bills to produce several whiskies exclusive to its distillery, situated not far from the excellent Hotel Genevieve — for now, let me say that if you find yourself in Bourbon Country, U.S.A, put Rabbit Hole Distillery at the top of your list to visit.

As luck would have it, these spirits-focused trips — and even the many events I attended this past week as part of annual spirits extravaganza Bar Convent Brooklyn — are the perfect opportunity to test out the best summer menswear from companies like Huckberry.

Luckily, durable denim, rugged leather boots and breezy summer shirting prove mighty helpful when going from a distillery tour to a dinner at one of The ‘Ville’s finest establishments (allow me to recommend Bob’s Steak and Chop House at the Omni Hotel, plus Southern-meets-Japanese fusion establishment Enso).

What sort of gear do you bring to hit the road? Hopefully, this style blog proves helpful in those many pursuits, but as ever, you can expect two weekend style posts in the days ahead. Beating the heat in style, whether in Kentucky or back in Brooklyn, is the name of the game, my friends. In fact, might I suggest this stylish Billy Reid linen shirt or else a travel-ready Huckberry blazer to cement your next summer #OOTD?

You can expect more where that came from in the days and weeks ahead — as ever, stay stylish, thanks for reading, thanks for following along and imbibing with me! Here’s to a Brooklyn summer weekend — cheers, my friends.

The Tuesday Steal: These Refined Slip-On Sneakers From Todd Snyder are a Downright Style Steal

Best men's sneakers for summer.

When you think of slip-on sneakers, what’s the first style or thought that springs to mind? Perhaps you consider the laidback nature of canvas slip-ons, the type you’d wear kickin’ around the boardwalk, or perhaps at a backyard BBQ. Or perhaps you think of something with a touch more refinement, like the Todd Snyder Tuscan Leather Slip-On Sneakers shown above?

The second option is definitely more uncommon in the world of the best men’s sneakers, but make no mistake, you can trust Todd Snyder and Todd Snyder footwear to deliver an elevated yet thoughtful take on a classic. A leather slip-on might seem an unusual approach to a casual footwear style, but one that pays dividends when worn and styled the right way — and of course, these Todd Snyder sneakers are now helpfully on sale. Let’s dive in, shall we?

The Todd Snyder Tuscan Leather Slip-On Sneakers came about because, as the brand itself says, its namesake designer was “looking for something casual but cool that would be easy to slip on and off,” and thus, these handsome leather slip-on sneakers sprang to life.

With a streamlined suede leather upper and a sporty yet casual, refined yet easygoing silhouette, they check all the right boxes when you want something sharp and fashionable besides lace-up leather dress shoes or loafers.

That’s right: If I were you, I’d go so far as to pair the Todd Snyder Tuscan Leather Slip-On Sneakers with linen trousers and perhaps a knit polo, or else even a classic pocket T-shirt and rolled light wash jeans (the good news for you is, Todd Snyder sells all of those essentials — and then some).

They’re also made for comfort when worn to summer BBQs and all-day outdoor affairs — a cork footbed molds to your foot over time, and the EVA midsole delivers rebound and cushioning.

As I often say, one of America’s best menswear designers seems to have considered every detail from the ground up, and this pair of the best slip-on sneakers for men is no exception. They’re also marked down 24 percent right now, so you’re getting some serious bang for your buck when it comes to the Todd Snyder Tuscan Leather Slip-On Sneakers. Try ’em on for size and get out there this summer, my friends.

See Now, Buy Now: Flint and Tinder’s Stretch Selvedge Denim is Perfect for Effortless Summer Style

It’s a dilemma you might tend to run into one way or another: If you love wearing a pair of the best men’s jeans consistently through the breezy days of spring (and especially in the crisp fall and winter months), well, what’s a guy to do when the thermostat rises — but the need to look sharp in your trusty blue jeans keeps hanging around? That’s where a pair of the best light wash jeans enters the fray, at least in my experience.

Often crafted from denim that’s lighter in weight and expertly faded — again, for a lighter feel and finish — light wash jeans are the smart man’s summer style solution when only the best men’s denim will do.

And folks, that’s where the latest edition of the Flint and Tinder Stretch Selvedge Denim comes into play. Dubbed an ‘HB Classic’ by the good folks at Huckberry, the latest and greatest round of the best jeans for men arrives just in time for standout summer style.

In my experience, you can craft a full ensemble for everything from BBQs to brewery visits to breezy coastal days solely using wares from the adventure-meets-Americana retailer, and that goes double for the best jeans for men – remember, they’re made in a lighter, more fresh design for spring and summer, of course.

The Flint and Tinder Stretch Selvedge Denim boast nothing but the best of the best in terms of fabric weight and fabrication, starting with a soft, stretchy 11.7 oz. selvedge denim that Huckberry deems “ideal for year-round wear.” But when it comes to the spring and summer months, that fabric weight is particularly vital.

At least in my experience, when paired with a breezy cotton pocket T-shirt, a camp collar shirt or a short-sleeve henley, the Flint and Tinder Stretch Selvedge Denim really shine through, particularly when it comes the summer-friendly light blue colorway, ideal for pairing with tan suede chukka boots, white canvas sneakers or even espadrille sandals.

As with everything Huckberry, the details are on point when it comes to the Flint and Tinder Stretch Selvedge Denim, including the use of durable copper rivets and a heritage-inspired back hip leather logo patch. If the details make the difference in the best summer style essentials, which they certainly do, then the Flint and Tinder Stretch Selvedge Denim have all the bases covered, and then some. Unlock your new favorite summer denim right now at Huckberry.

The Tuesday Steal: It’s Your Last Chance to Get Up to 50 Percent Off at the Bespoke Post Memorial Day Weekend Sale

No, my friends, that’s not a typo: Memorial Day weekend might have come and gone (along with a needed day off yesterday for your editor at The Style Guide), but sales and savings on the best gear for men still abound, especially when you dive into the many wares up for grabs at Bespoke Post.

The longtime favorite retailer and one of the best online menswear shops is running a last call on summer style essentials aplenty, and you’d better get ’em while the getting’s good: The Bespoke Post Memorial Day Weekend Sale wraps up soon (the brand calls it ‘last call,’ so let’s toast to some savings, shall we?

Savings abound on a bit of everything, from lightweight shirting to durable everyday carry gear, the best travel bags, outdoor and home must-haves and even pieces that are simply ‘nice to have’ rather than ‘must have’ (like hybrid hiking sneakers). Of course, retailers like Huckberry have also offered up some standout savings for Memorial Day weekend, but consider this one a bonus day from a similarly acclaimed retailer like Bespoke Post.

Through the last gasp of the Bespoke Post Memorial Day Weekend Sale, you’ll also find outdoor gear like camping chairs and tables, Bluetooth speakers fit for a weekend getaway, even a survival lighter and a cocktail smoking kit.

Seriously: At least in my experience, the variety, value and dependability of the coolest gear on the planet shines through when you scroll the pages of the Bespoke Post Memorial Day Weekend Sale. Give yourself a chance at savings, style and standout gear this season while these deals are sticking around.

See Now, Buy Now: The Mason Short Sleeve Shirt from Line of Trade is An Unstoppable Summer Style Move

Best short-sleeve shirts for guys.

Every once in a while, a brand comes along that shakes things up in the world of men’s style essentials in classic-yet-modern, utterly fresh fashion: Drawing from the past (classic styles like workshirts, service shorts, henleys and more) while putting a new spin on things for the modern man.

Approachable without being fast-fashion. Stylish without veering too far into high fashion. Sounds like high praise, does it not? And high praise though it might be, Line of Trade and the new Line of Trade Spring/Summer 2025 Collection hit all the right notes when it comes to throwback-minded yet easily wearable, fresh looks for the modern man — that’s you, and that’s why we’re taking a look at a must-have shirt from this relative upstart right now.

You very well might recognize Line of Trade from the pages of this very blog, or from the fact that it was started by Bespoke Post, retailers with an intense focus on finding the coolest gear and clothing for guys — many of those selections hail from small, scrappy brands, as you might have read in my Line of Trade reviews.

And helpfully, the new Line of Trade Spring/Summer 2025 Collection certainly makes the case that this brand — shoppable now via Line of Trade’s own site — is one to watch. Take the Line of Trade Mason Short-Sleeve Shirt: As spring starts to shift into summer, opting for a breezy short-sleeve buttondown shirt with a sense of polish is the name of the game, and this option checks all the right boxes.

Helpfully, the Line of Trade Mason Short-Sleeve Shirt gets the details just right, as is the case with Line of Trade’s sturdy flannel shirts and waxed outerwear for fall and winter. The Line of Trade Mason Short-Sleeve Shirt features a classic two-pocket workshirt build, but as the brand notes, this shirt is “built with a unique two-tone, pure cotton waffle weave” for texture and an ultra-breezy, soft finish.

It features folded and stitched shirt cuffs for an added touch of detail (roll up the cuffs for an even more old-school look), and the Line of Trade Mason Short-Sleeve Shirt also features a straightforward, slightly tailored fit that’s neither too relaxed nor too tight.

In addition to the rich Golden Ochre color seen here, your new favorite short-sleeve shirt comes in handsome colors like Vintage Navy for even more style points this summer. When you want a look that’s timeless and yet ready for some of the best men’s style in 2025 (and beyond), you very well might want to opt for this stylish short-sleeve shirt for men from Line of Trade. Get it while it’s hot, my friends.
