It could be easy to dismiss something as simple as the classic high-top sneaker, but we here at The Style Guide think that would be … well, a mistake. We normally  keep things pretty casual here on the blog in terms of style scenarios, from how to dress for a rock concert to how to wear your new favorite denim jacket. That focus is changing today, however, with a business-ready #OOTD that’s going to get you ready for a casual-yet-polished day at the office. Think your favorite men’s style essentials, just remixed ever so slightly. That is to say, I think picks like the Taylor Stitch Everyday Blazer — as highlighted below! — are perfect if you’re searching for advice on how to dress for a business casual office. It seems that most offices these days are leaning toward casual — a mix of high-and-low pieces on most days, with things maybe leaning a bit more polished for a big meeting. #OOTD: How to Dress for A Summer Bonfire

We sure do love a great, versatile #OOTD for summer — who doesn’t, am I right? And today, we’re getting just a little specific as we look toward the end of summer and the start of fall. That being said, there’s still some time to indulge in the finer pleasures of life, like throwing on a stylish zip hoodie (they exist!), cracking open a cold beer & enjoying a summer bonfire. It’s an oddly specific situation, to be sure, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t reach for men’s style essentials to help you dress your best. That being said, I think I’ve pulled together a look here that’ll help you take on that backyard BBQ with stylish ease, and keep you casual and comfortable during an evening bonfire thereafter. It’s one of those situations where you can go casual, and yet still look stylish as all get-out. #OOTD: How to Dress for Your Next Rock Concert

Make no mistake, Style Guide readers — we’ve talked in the past in our #OOTD series about how to dress for a concert. But if you, like me, are in favor of shaking up your style from time to time with a slew of new-and-improved menswear essentials, well then … today’s amped-up post is for you. Dressing for a rock concert or that last music festival of summer is yet another situation in which you can up your game just a bit — by sticking with excellent essentials like tough leather boots and a stylish denim shirt, you’re going to strike just the right balance. The key here is neither looking like you just got out of work (change out of that dress shirt and trousers) or like you’re attempting to imitate Mick Jagger (tight leather pants are a no-no, my friends). So, we’re going with an ensemble you could feasibly wear to work (in a casual environment), and then right out to an outdoor summer concert or an indoor club show with ease. #OOTD: How to Wear Your New Favorite Denim Jacket

We always try to cover a lot of ground when it comes to our #OOTD series, from how to wear boots during the summer to the best way to style your chambray shirt. It all comes down to, as always, taking your favorite pieces and mixing up the formula, the fit and the styling. Such is the case with today’s featured #OOTD, my friends. It starts with a tried-and-true menswear essential — the rugged denim jacket — and features unique, summer-friendly styling touches, like the Taylor Stitch Hawthorne Shirt and go-anywhere classic suede chukka boots. These are items that work well on their own, and yet look even better blended into one ensemble. #OOTD: How to Dress in Versatile Style For the Rest of Summer

As we power through the rest of summer, I’d say there’s no better way you can dress than with versatile, comfortable off-duty style in mind. It’s one thing to throw on a classic Oxford shirt and a lightweight navy blazer to head to the office, but it can sometimes be another matter entirely to want to look good when you’re off the clock. That’s what we’re tackling today on The Style Guide — an outfit with a few different layers for a few different looks, each as suited for a casual patio lunch as for a rooftop summer party. It comes down to a colorful, cool base — in this case, the La Paz Ribas Henley — plus other equally versatile and rugged picks (I.E. Slim dark denim and classic SeaVees sneakers). In short, I think you’ll find you already own a lot of these pieces, but we’re wearing them today in a way that allows you to go a few different places, from the ballpark to the bar and back home (for instance). Throw a tough everyday bag into the mix, and you could even wear this to your co-working space or to your favorite coffee shop to knock out some writing (Just me? #OOTD: How to Wear Your New Favorite Boots, Even in Summer

Although I can nearly hear an audible gasp coming from the assembled crowd now, there’s still plenty good reason for you to wear a pair of rugged leather boots … even in the summer months. It can be done, and it all comes down to time and place. So, that’s where today’s #OOTD is taking us — should you add leather boots to your list of summer style essentials? I, for one, think so. And believe you me, you’re going to want to wear the stylish leather boots featured below as much as you can once you feast your eyes on ’em.
