The Tuesday Steal: The Taylor Stitch Fremont Jacket Is 30 Percent Off Right Now

Best denim jacket for men.

Outfitting your next #OOTD the proper way, with stylish, durable gear that fits the situation appropriately (be it the office, date night, a day on the road or a night at the bar) has never been easier — seemingly, at least, with the Taylor Stitch Last Call section. It’s a place packed with hidden gems from the San Francisco retailer, the kind that add character to any wardrobe — like the Taylor Stitch Fremont Jacket, for instance.

I’ve had the chance to try this jacket out over these past several months, and it’s a bold update of the classic denim jacket, done in all the right ways. Helpfully, it’s 30 percent off via the Taylor Stitch Last Call section, which is the sort of deal I approve of as we inch ever closer to transitional jacket weather.

And the great thing about the Taylor Stitch Fremont Jacket is that, like the pleasing vintage look and feel of the Taylor Stitch Ledge Shirt, for example, it’s got just enough updates to the traditional denim jacket to make it an ideal change of pace in your wardrobe.

For instance. the Taylor Stitch Fremont Jacket updates the chore jacket silhouette with a fold-over collar, a button-front and a hip-length cut, while its sturdy organic cotton build uses handsome selvage for a high-quality feel. Plus, the Taylor Stitch Fremont Jacket boasts a button chest pocket, plus top and side-entry pockets for your everyday carry (and an interior media pocket).

These pockets are also roomier than those of a traditional denim jacket, a nice touch for the modern man on the go. The washed fabric is supple and sturdy, and the Taylor Stitch Fremont Jacket has a nice, vintage-style look and feel to it. Oh, and again, your new favorite denim jacket is now 30 percent off via Taylor Stitch, so do yourself a favor and shop it accordingly as we move slowly towards spring. Good luck out there, my friends.

See Now, Buy Now: The Taylor Stitch Ledge Shirt is a Modern Menswear Classic

Taylor Stitch Ledge Shirt

I’m not sure about you, but when I find a menswear essential I love, I tend to stick with it and find it in as many variations as possible. That goes for staple pieces like the best men’s chinos or one of my favorite henleys, and it’s especially the case with one of the best flannel shirts on the market.

And when it comes to today’s post, that flannel shirt is the Taylor Stitch Ledge Shirt. It’s an everyday workhorse that cements the San Francisco brand as one of the best menswear brands to shop now, and it’s not hard to see why.

Taylor Stitch men's shirts.

Perhaps you’ve tried other crisply designed Taylor Stitch men’s shirts like the California Shirt, which nails the proper details in terms of a modern Oxford shirt. The Ledge Shirt, on the other hand, has a touch more rugged appeal with the same classic Taylor Stitch attention to detail.

That means they’ve used a super-soft washed 8oz. organic cotton for comfort right out of the box, then done up the Taylor Stitch Ledge Shirt in a variety of rich, seasonal colors (like the Tarnished Brass Plaid option).

Then, the Taylor Stitch Ledge Shirt is finished with dark horn buttons and classic workwear chest flap pockets. That means, at least in my experience, that you can wear this handsome flannel shirt on its own or as an overshirt over a rugged henley or thermal shirt.

Either way, it’s going to add a sense of timeless appeal to any look, especially when paired with blue jeans and your favorite pair of leather boots. Plus, it’s easy to shop in the brand’s signature chest sizing options. All the proper boxes are checked with this shirt, and that’s a great thing to have in your closet.

The Tuesday Steal: Save Big on the Best Menswear for 2024 with the Taylor Stitch Last Call Section

Taylor Stitch menswear review.

The theme of this week, as we roll into a new year, is putting your best foot forward as often as possible (like the photo above!), especially in matters of style. Refreshing or revamping your wardrobe doesn’t need to cost you an arm and a leg, as you know if you read my weekly (and near-daily!) men’s style sale dispatches here on the blog.

A reminder is always a safe bet, particularly if you’ve had your eye on an item or two from one of your favorite online menswear brands, and that brings me to the Taylor Stitch Last Call section. The sale section, which tends to sell out quickly, is often packed with hard-to-find, exclusive items from the famed San Francisco retailer (like the incredible Taylor Stitch Mariner Coat), along with tried-and-true favorites (like the Taylor Stitch Gibson Jacket).

Taylor Stitch men's outerwear review.

Savings within the remarkable Taylor Stitch Last Call offering tend to vary based on the time of year, with savings as high as 50 percent off during year-end and seasonal sales, but other picks among the best menswear essentials usually hover around 20 to 30 percent off or so.

It’s not a bad deal any way you look at it, especially if you opt for easily wearable seasonal style essentials like a pair of the best everyday pants for men (as seen at the top of the page).

Helpfully, the Taylor Stitch Last Call section is packed with just about something for every taste and sense of style, as is the rest of the brand’s full-priced offering. The world is your oyster, so to speak, with savings galore via the Taylor Stitch Last Call section, so take full advantage and refresh your #OOTD for a new year — good luck out there, folks.

Style Pick of the Week: Taylor Stitch Sidecountry Sweater – A Seasonal Layering Must-Have

Rugged gear that blends an old-school vibe with modern quality is the name of the game over at Taylor Stitch, as you well know if you read this blog on the regular. And what better time than the present to pick up some throwback menswear made modern, be it the iconic Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket or the rugged henley sweater shown above?

Yes indeed, there’s hardly a brand that does it better than San Francisco-based Taylor Stitch, and that’s on full display with the Taylor Stitch Sidecountry Sweater.

It’s part of the Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Collection, a meeting of the minds between a famed Pacific Northwest heritage brand and a company making waves in modern menswear (and it resulted in some of the best boots for men this season, too). The Taylor Stitch Sidecountry Sweater personifies what Taylor Stitch does best — it’s rugged and outdoor-inspired, made from thick 12-gauge 100 percent merino wool in a waffle weave for warmth and durability.

Plus, the Taylor Stitch Sidecountry Sweater mimics the look of a henley, thanks to the button placket, yet bundles up all the warmth of a sweater at the same time. A ribbed neckline and cuffs ensure a secure fit and even more durability, while the Coffee Heather color is well-suited to the style demands of the season.

Taylor Stitch probably says it best when they note that the Taylor Stitch Sidecountry Sweater is “a tip of the hat to the rugged outdoor gear that was popular in the days of Charles Danner himself,” and that sounds like the sort of essential, casual layering piece you should keep close at hand this season. Layer up accordingly, my friends.

See Now, Buy Now: The Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket Is Back and Better Than Ever This Year

Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket 2023

There are certain menswear moments that, each year, tend to roll back around like clockwork, and in the best way possible. When one of your favorite menswear brands recognizes a great thing, like the longevity and instant appeal of one of the best leather jackets, that’s something to be treasured (and shopped, and worn).

I’m talking, in this case, about the 2023 Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket, a hotly anticipated restock from the famed California brand, one I’ve looked forward to for years and one that should certainly live up to the hype this year.

The brand knows plenty about dependable gear and long-term craftsmanship, be it a rugged vest for fall or some of your new favorite boots — and hopefully, you’ve experienced that quality firsthand. And in the case of the Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket, it’s been a dedicated brand staple for a decade now.

Best leather jacket for men.

In the case of the Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket, that commitment to quality is evident in every last stitch. It’s handmade in San Francisco from rich, immaculately well-crafted drum-dyed 3.5-oz. full-grain steerhide, then finished with PrimaLoft insulation. Yes, that’s right: This jacket truly was designed for wide-open country and blustery days, and the brand wouldn’t have it any other way.

Plus, the handsome Taylor Stitch Moto Jacket also comes in three impossibly cool shades of leather (including the aptly named Whiskey Steerhide, a deep Espresso Steerhide and a sleek black leather option. It’s rugged, it’s road-ready and it’s an heirloom piece in every sense of the word.

The two-way zipper (from the zipper maestros at YKK) should prove durable and long-lasting (befitting the $1,075 price tag, of course), while even the hip pockets are lined in flannel for added warmth. It’s also got a bi-swing, gusseted back, two handy EDC chest pockets and zipper cuffs for easy mobility and a customizable fit.

As I tend to say, if it seems like Taylor Stitch thought of everything with one of the best leather jackets for men, that’s because they absolutely did. The proof is right there in every stitch of this incredibly well-crafted jacket, so do yourself a favor and layer up accordingly — this is one jacket to treasure for years to come.

The Sunday Sale: Save 30 Percent on This Rugged Taylor Stitch Vest for Expert Fall Layering

Best vests for men this fall.

I’m willing to bet you’ve already got a great idea of the best fall style essentials you need to keep close at hand this season (in your wardrobe and at the ready, specifically).

That likely includes one of the best waxed trucker jackets or your favorite henley, but what about in-between layers that deliver just as much variety and utility? We’re talking, in this case, about one of the best vests for men, delivered with durability, rugged style and savings by my good friends at Taylor Stitch.

The Taylor Stitch Able Vest certainly lives up to its name, and it arrives on sale for 30 percent off via the Taylor Stitch Last Call Section. Now, that selection is packed with summer style essentials, but this stylish quilted vest is a very apt layer for right this very moment, indeed.

You see, the Taylor Stitch Able Vest boasts a lightweight yet strong recycled nylon shell that’s then filled with recycled polyester for added warmth atop, say, a Taylor Stitch henley or one of the best men’s shirts from Taylor Stitch.

It’s also designed with a vertical quilted construction for a more streamlined look and feel, the kind that you can wear with ease for outdoor fall weekend pursuits aplenty (don’t forget your Taylor Stitch work pants or denim, my friends). The handsome Army Green colorway of the Taylor Stitch Able Vest is a versatile touch that wears well with everything from dark blue jeans to tobacco chinos or grey jogger pants.

Thick collar ribbing should keep your neck warm on brisk fall days. The Taylor Stitch Able Vest might not be the very first layer that springs to mind in cold weather, but it’s one of the best options to snag on sale right now. Act accordingly, my friends.

The Friday Read: Fall’s Best Men’s Style Essentials From Taylor Stitch & More

Taylor Stitch fall menswear 2023.

My friends, let’s close out “the week that was” in fine form, first by taking a look at some of the best fall style essentials on the market. Those fall style essentials, if you’ve been keeping up with the blog the past few days, come from a plethora of places, but namely: Taylor Stitch. As I always say, a reminder can be more than helpful at times in the menswear world, right?

Of course, the San Francisco menswear masters are a personal favorite brand of mine (and one I’ve covered extensively on the blog over the years). They craft everything from rugged-yet-soft flannel shirts to expertly crafted denim, chinos and hard-working outerwear.

Why, I wrote about the rugged and simply excellent new Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots only earlier this week, and they could very well be your new favorite pair of fall boots. Yes indeed, this fall weekend is a prime time to shop the brand.

I’d wager you don’t need me to tell you twice, but shopping for the best fall menswear should only be part of your equation this weekend. In fact, if I were you, I’d consider bolstering my bar cart with the warming spice of Ancho Reyes chile liqueur.

This recommendation isn’t out of left field: If you follow me on Instagram, you’re well aware that I trekked South of the Border this week to see the chile fields of Puebla, tour the Ancho Reyes operation and of course, sip on two Ancho Reyes expressions while staying at the excellent Hotel La Purificadora. This is all part of my many freelance writing pursuits, including covering spirits (and much more!) over at Maxim.com.

Taylor Stitch men's cardigan.

You’ll have to stay tuned for more from this trip in the weeks ahead, but know that it was a vibrant, colorful getaway — one that made me grateful for the high heat and sun of Mexico, and yet all the more ready for a stylish fall in Brooklyn (and all the more ready to wear pieces like that stylish cardigan shown above!).

On that note, I’m signing off to go browse over at Taylor Stitch (and I recommend you do the same!), and you can find me back here tomorrow for Saturday’s Style Pick of the Week. Cheers and thanks for reading, as always!

See Now, Buy Now: The Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots are the Coolest New Fall Boots to Buy Now

There are surely more than a few style situations on the horizon for you this fall (and myself!) that are going to require you to lace up a pair of the most rugged boots for men. It could be something as light-spirited as a brisk morning tailgate, something in-between like a coffee shop visit and brewery beers, or something more hard-wearing, like a day hike or a upstate getaway.

For those situations and more, meet your new favorite pair of boots, courtesy of Taylor Stitch and Danner.

The two standout West Coast brands — Danner with decades of Pacific Northwest bootmaking excellence, Taylor Stitch with nearly 15 years of crafting the best modern menswear — teamed up on the new Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots.

The resulting pair is an ode to Danner’s lightweight Ridge Hiker, with customary Danner performance details (the brand makes some of my favorite pairs of men’s boots), not to mention Taylor Stitch’s uniquely stylish point of view. And the Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots fit nicely in both worlds, with the proper style details and performance specs to match.

Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots 2023.

The Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots start from the ground up, literally, with a sturdy yet comfortable Vibram® Kletterlift Thin outsole, the kind that can grip slippery terrain with ease. For even more comfort, they’re amped up with a removable Ortholite footbed, while a GORE-TEX waterproof liner keeps your feet dry. The rich dark brown pebbled leather is distinctive and will develop a handsome patina with age, but it’s the dry-waxed camo side inserts that give these boots an extra dash of style.

Part tailored jacket, part sweater, all versatility.

The Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots are resoleable, which is great news — you’ll have these USA-made men’s boots for years to come. Speed hooks deliver a secure fit and a classic hiking boot touch, which is ideal for even more stability on uneven terrain.

Of course, you can rock the Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boots more simply, say with a pair of Taylor Stitch indigo denim and a Taylor Stitch workshirt, for easygoing fall pursuits aplenty. Get ahead of the curve and invest in the best for early fall with the latest and greatest from Danner and Taylor Stitch.

The Friday Read: A Pure Michigan Weekend & The Best Labor Day Sales from Huckberry and Taylor Stitch

Best Huckberry menswear for 2023.

It’s hard to believe I’m typing this, but welcome to the last Friday Read of summer — or at least, the last “unofficial” weekly roundup of summer. There’s good news on the horizon, as early fall is one of my favorite seasons for menswear, and perhaps you feel the same way.

It’s really the undisputed champion among the seasons, and as prime a time as any for lacing up your new favorite chukka boots, layering up one of the best shirt jackets and enjoying a nip or two of whiskey (to name but two of my favorite pursuits).

Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket.

Before we can embrace a brisk breeze, crisp leaves underfoot and the warmth of the Flint and Tinder Trucker Jacket from Huckberry, I’m taking a moment to reflect on a momentous summer — including two trips back to my lovely home state of Pure Michigan.

I’ve spent the past week with family on iconic Mackinac Island, a longtime resort destination set across a small 8.2-mile island that outlaws transport by anything but bike or horse-drawn carriage. It’s a wrinkle in time with plenty of charm. Fascinating, right? I found it an ideal time to test out some early fall menswear from the likes of Billy Reid, Sea Culture and more, as you might have seen on my Instagram.

Taylor Stitch menswear 2023.

And of course, we took our time enjoying bright, blazing sunsets, cold local beer (and wine!) and panoramic views of the Great Lakes. What a way to close out summer among family, yes? I also took advantage of the chance to wear gear from Taylor Stitch (although the above jacket remains on my wish list!).

Elsewhere, I’ve got #NYFW events in my sights next week back East, but for now, I plan to enjoy a spirited Labor Day back in the Lower Peninsula watching Michigan State football and sipping on my favorite Michigan beer from the likes of Bell’s Brewery (Oberon is still going strong, in my book at least!).

I’ll leave you with two last Labor Day weekend recommendations: You can get 15 percent off the Huckberry Sale section for Labor Day, and you can enjoy 20 percent off the Taylor Stitch Last Call section, too. How’s that for a proper end to summer? If you score any stellar deals this weekend, let me know in the comments below. Cheers to a long weekend, folks!
