Style Pick of the Week: Halios Laguna Watch

Halios Laguna Watch

The rugged leather watch to team up with all your favorite fall style essentials.

If there’s one thing I know for certain when it comes to #menswear, it’s that a stylish watch can be the perfect finishing touch to an outfit — and there are some watches, like the Halios Laguna Watch, that stand out above the rest in that regard. Now, we just talked about a tough stainless steel dive watch in our latest See Now, Buy Now entry, but I’m here to tell you that the Halios Laguna Watch is just as worthy of a spot in your watch collection. The best watch to buy now conveys that ideal mix of rugged and yet slightly refined style, wearable with everything from a slim graphic tee to an American-made Oxford. If that’s what you’re looking for, I think you’ll be mighty pleased with today’s Style Pick of the Week.

Folks, the Laguna Watch is a timepiece that signifies more than rugged, durable style. What with its handsome combination of a black dial and a tough brown leather strap (or a stainless steel set of links), the Laguna Watch nods toward the changing of the seasons — bear with me on this one.  Early fall, which is coming soon enough, means we’re switching out lightweight, breathable menswear, like classic men’s T-shirts, for heavier, more durable pieces. So, essential menswear picks like a rugged henley and tough brown leather boots are crucial. And in that case, you need accessories that follow suit in terms of visual interest and style. It’s your lucky day, because that’s where the Halios Laguna Watch comes into play.

Laguna Watch

Another way to wear the ridiculously rugged, tough Halios Laguna Watch.

Halios has raised eyebrows — in a good way — for the manner in which the brand crafts its rugged men’s watches. The Laguna Watch is a fine example; take the scratch-and-shatter resistant sapphire glass crystal, plus the insanely tough stainless steel case (made with the same steel used in jet engine parts!).  As if that wasn’t enough, know that you’re really getting two watches for the price of one with the Halios Laguna Watch — as you can see above, you also have the option to swap in a tough stainless steel set of links, the ultimate in versatility. And the 43mm case diameter on the Halios Laguna Watch, while substantial, should be more than wearable for most guys. The Japanese-made automatic movement should prove reliable and precise, and even the carrying case for the Halios Laguna Watch is guaranteed for life. Yep — LIFE.

That’s an uncommon promise for something as seemingly small as watch storage, yet it means that the Halios Laguna Watch can stand up to any early fall adventures — and well beyond. I’d wear this stylish timepiece with plenty of other rugged menswear essentials, from a striped henley and faded American-made denim to suede boots and a rugged shawl-collar cardigan. Given that the price tag is a bit of an investment, it’s safe to say the Halios Laguna Watch deserves as much wear as you can get out of it. So, what do you say? Can a watch help you transition into fall? Let me know in the comments below — and let me know if you’ll be buying the Halios Laguna Watch in the near future!

Stay stylish and thanks for reading,

The Friday Read: Essential Everyday Carry Gear, Craft Beer and Nisolo Shoes

Can you believe another week is in the books? Heck, can you believe I’m in Chicago again for the second time this month? I certainly can’t — and yet, today’s edition of the Friday Read is coming to you live from the Windy City. I trekked to Chicago just a few short weeks ago for Lollapalooza 2017, and had a great weekend dressed in ideal music festival style. This time around, I’m meeting my family back in the Midwest for a weekend of city exploration and crucially, a family trip to see lauded American musical “Hamilton.” Having seen the show twice already, I gave up my ticket to my young nephew, a budding musical enthusiast and huge fan of the standout musical. So, that’ll free up some time for me to explore all that Chicago has to offer — anywhere that’s a must-see on your list? I’m looking forward to hitting up the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, a refined, old-school art-deco spot with (apparently) a neat speakeasy. That’s just one of many stops I’ll be making, though. Follow along with all the action on Instagram, and be sure to check back here for a full #menswear trip recap on Monday. Until then — stay stylish and enjoy the below weekend reading picks!

  • Fall is a great time to hit the road for day or weekend trips — heading to a winery, a brewery, an orchard … you name it, and it should definitely involve essential travel style. To that end, I rounded up the best everyday carry gear for your next drive. Head to GearMoose to check it out.
  • We enjoy talking craft beer around these parts — to say the least. With that in mind, I point you toward The Manual — my colleague Lee Heidel is taking you into a new initiative from the Brewers Association to properly label beer from breweries that fit the definition of “craft.” It’s a worthy cause that might just make you love your favorite beer even more — agreed?

  • Let’s stick with the latest happenings at The Manual — shall we? Namely, I rounded up my favorite picks from Nisolo, the ethically crafted footwear makers behind a whole host of stylish chukka boots, rugged sneakers and plenty more. Shop away!

OK, everyone — we’re keeping it short this week! Enjoy the weekend, and check back for tomorrow’s Style Pick of the Week.

Thanks for reading!

Style Pick of the Week: Hudson Shoes Lewiston Chukka

Hudson Shoes

The handsome pair of chukka boots to get you ready for fall.

Alright, Style Guide readers. I’ve got good news and … more good news. The good news is that you’re really going to like today’s Style Pick of the Week. The better news is that we’re one week closer to everyone’s favorite #menswear season — fall. OK, maybe jumping the gun a bit (or a lot). And yet, it pays to be prepared when it comes to the best men’s gear for the season — right? So, let me introduce you to the Hudson Shoes Lewiston Chukka. Yes indeed, the Lewiston Chukka is a heck of a pair of chukka boots to put on your shopping list for fall. Heck, they can help you step into any situation in style, at any point in the year. Seriously. A classic pair of men’s chukka boots can work wonders with the simplest outfits. A stylish Oxford shirt and slim dark denim? Throw on leather chukka boots. Slim grey denim, a henley and a blue denim jacket? Lace up the Hudson Shoes Lewiston Chukka. A herringbone blazer and navy chinos when the fall rolls around? The Lewiston Chukka is your best bet. And the best part is, you can get ’em for a nice deal through Bespoke Post. The cognac leather upper is all style, while the leather lining is all comfort. And the rubber sole is made for navigating tougher terrain than your average pair of dress shoes. That’s really not all the Lewiston Chukka offers, truly.

Hudson Shoes

A closer look at the sleek profile of the Hudson Shoes Lewiston Chukka.

In addition to the solid price for a pair of year-round chukka boots, you’re getting neat design by way of Britain. Like the Crockett & Jones chukka boots that James Bond wears so well in “Skyfall,” the rubber sole on the Lewiston Chukka adds a bit of durability and traction in the rain and on other slippery fall surfaces. Again, just because it’s August doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look ahead. To wit: The Lewiston Chukka is going to sit just right under grey flannel trousers and a navy topcoat on a blustery day, and you can even wear ’em to the office and then to happy hour after without needing to switch them out.  That’s what I’m talking about, folks. All of that means you should give the Lewiston Chukka a serious shot now –and later in the fall season. Oh, and the custom stitching means you’re getting something no other shoe brand can bring to the table; well-done, Hudson Shoes. So, what do we think of the Hudson Shoes Lewiston Chukka? Are we ready for fall? Rest assured, we’ll be talking more in the months to come about the best men’s boots for fall and beyond — and you can expect the Lewiston Chukka to make that list.

Hey — stay stylish!

Style Pick of the Week: Taylor Stitch Mercerized Merino Henley

Taylor Stitch merino henley

Just the right amount of heft and texture for rugged fall style.

Folks. if you needed one more reason to shop Taylor Stitch, our latest Style Pick provides plenty of reasons — seriously, plenty.  It’s no secret that your author, editor and creative director (ha!) at The Style Guide loves the brand for its use of quality fabrics, classic silhouettes and rugged, timeless appeal — that’s no more true than with the Taylor Stitch Mercerized Merino Henley, available for 30 percent off right now during the standout Bespoke Post Summer Sale. Not a bad deal, ehh? And what do you get for your hard-earned dollars? Plenty. Consider your search for one of the best men’s henleys over before it starts — if you buy this guy, that is. The Mercerized Merino Henley‘s success starts with, well, the 5oz. mercerized merino wool, a key point of difference compared to, say, cotton henleys. That construction makes it heavy enough to provide some texture and  protection from late summer and early fall breezes. Of course, it’s also light enough to layer under a cotton field jacket or a rugged denim jacket in equal measure. That’s about par for the course when it comes to Taylor Stitch, and that’s as good as it gets. And in terms of styling potential, the Mercerized Henley is loaded with it. If you were looking for how to wear a rugged henley, I’d say this piece gives you plenty of options — just in time for fall, too. Clearly, Bespoke Post knows what’s up — agreed?

Taylor Stitch

Merccerized merino wool and a nicely made placket are but a few benefits of buying this Taylor Stitch henley.

It gets even better. With gear from Taylor Stitch, you can team any piece with practically anything else in your wardrobe. The brand’s Everyday Chambray Shirt would be am ideal layering piece atop the Mercerized Merino Henley, as would the tough, durable and fall-ready Taylor Stitch Rover Jacket.  And pieces like a stylish waxed trucker jacket offer a similarly easy-to-wear styling potential. Just throw on this henley with slim, American-made denim and your favorite pair of leather boots, and you’re set. Heck, the three-button placket even helps it stand out nicely against a crisp herringbone blazer or underneath an American-made Oxford. And the great thing about a slim striped henley is the simple fact that it broadens your chest and shoulders  when worn on its own — a styling trick that’s no more at ease than when you want rugged fall looks.  Oh, and the real kicker is that you can snag it for just $98 when signing up for Bespoke Post (versus $125 normally). That’s a heck of a deal, yeah? Yes indeed. If you’re not excited for fall after reading this, I don’t know what to tell ya. The last word is that, simply, the Taylor Stitch Mercerized Merino Henley is an essential men’s style move  — even if it’s not quite fall yet.

Style Pick of the Week: Grayers Montreaux Windbreaker Jacket

Grayers

The Montreaux Windbreaker from Grayers could be the casual jacket you never knew you needed — right? Pictured here with the Taylor Stitch Jack Shirt in Indigo Star, plus my Original Penguin Stretch Scout Shorts, classic SeaVees Army Issue Sneakers and my Timex x Todd Snyder Military Watch.

What’s got style, easygoing wearability and functionality built into one? The Grayers Montreaux Windbreaker Jacket, of course. It’s today’s Style Pick of the Week, and it’s perhaps the one jacket you need to buy now. OK, that’s saying quite a lot, if we’re being honest. But truly, the Grayers Montreaux Windbreaker Jacket is an unexpected #menswear move — it switches things up from a more typical rugged denim jacket in the later part of the summer, and it provides easy, breezy and travel-ready style all in one package. Certainly, the Montreaux Windbreaker is a decidedly effective way to combat late-summer chills once the sun sets — that’s certainly true whether you’re at a bonfire, heading out on a weekend trip or hanging around a backyard BBQ.

And best of all, it’s the kind of simple, classic and yet modern style that Grayers has so nicely perfected over the years. The Montreaux Windbreaker — also available in Navy — is nothing less than the kind of subtle, crisp jacket that you can throw on with anything — be it a stylish denim shirt or someting as straightforward as the equally stylish Grayers Jaspe Double Cloth Shirt. It’s a silhouette and overall look that’s as ready to go now as it’ll be in the spring — and when layered right, I’d wager you can likely get away with wearing it in the early fall atop a rugged crewneck sweatshirt.  When I took it for a spin myself during day two of the excellent Panorama 2017 music festival, I was certainly pleased with its durability and utility — and when you check out the details on this jacket, you might just decide you also need the Montreaux Windbreaker in your closet.

Grayers

Made from tightly woven polyester, this jacket delivers in terms of comfort and style.

In short, this jacket has all the trappings of a piece that’s really perfect for “grab-and-go” situations. Whether you wear it to dash to your favorite coffee shop or grab a casual lunch, I’d say it’ll serve you well. It’s got the type of sharp style that doesn’t draw attention to itself — again, perfect for pairing up with menswear essentials ranging from your favorite pair of jeans and stylish leather sneakers to classic suede chukka boots and a slim white polo. Truly, it can do all of that — maybe even in the same day. The functionality of the Montreaux Windbreaker lies in the tightly woven polyester construction — ideal for fighting breezes and summer rain,.  Heck, you should keep it handy to throw on with an American-made henley in the early part of fall; again, it’s just that versatile. And if you’re a sucker for small details — as I am — then touches like the leather zipper pull and stand-up collar should win you over. And when the time comes to throw it in your stylish weekender bag and hit the road, it’s going to pack up with ease. There’s not much standing in the way of you picking it up, either — the agreeable price on the Montreaux Windbreaker should help you save some extra coins to spend on another beer or two.

Will you be picking up the Montreaux Windbreaker to hit the road this summer and fall? Let me know in the comments below — thanks for reading!

Style Pick of the Week: Mott and Bow Graham Denim Shirt

Mott and Bow

A tailored denim shirt crafted with premium Italian cotton and an excellent price. That’s a winner in my book, folks.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t yet heard of Mott and Bow — or the brand’s recently launched stylish denim shirts — you’re in luck today. Quite lucky, in fact — we’ll fill you in on everything you need to know in our latest Style Pick of the Week.  The brand does quite a lot well when it comes to manufacturing affordable men’s denim with premium quality and construction in mind. With a range of washes — including the slim black Morton Denim and a set of handsome Italian-made denim — there’s little that Mott and Bow can’t do. They even make stylish twill denim — a pair of which took with me on a spring road trip to Washington, D.C. with great results.

And lest we forget, it really all starts with the classic Mott and Bow Mosco denim — an easily wearable pair of slim blue denim if ever there was one.  Given the brand’s history of affordability and quality, the launch of  a full line of slim denim shirts — available in both the buttondown collar Wythe option and the spread-collar Graham Shirt as seen here — was greeted with excitement by this #menswear writer earlier this spring. And that’s why right now, in the throes of summer, there just might not be a more versatile or easy-to-wear shirt than the Mott and Graham Denim Shirt — yes indeed, it’s true!  We’ve all been through the ringer when it comes to summer style essentials at this point — it’s been too hot for too long, and perhaps you’re looking for a way to switch things up from your slim polo shirts or the like (no matter how much you love ’em). And that’s where the Mott and Graham Denim Shirt  comes into play.

Mott & Bow

With a pleasing wash and a crisp spread collar, the Graham Shirt can very easily pull double-duty in casual or dressy style situations.

It starts with yarn-dyed indigo fabric from Albiate 1830, which certainly has an excellent pedigree in terms of producing standout denim shirts. The Graham Denim Shirt, like the Wythe Shirt, comes in three crisp colorways, yet it’s the light blue option that your Style Guide author appreciates the most. Certainly, it’s one of the best men’s denim shirts out there — if not the best. Ehh? Who’s with me? The light blue option is a pleasing, summer-friendly shade — easy to pair up with light stone chinos, classic tan chinos or dark blue denim (preferably from Mott and Bow). And the style points don’t stop there. Want to switch up your summer suit? Pair this shirt with a silver knit tie and ideally, a khaki cotton or dark navy suit. Add stylish men’s dress shoes consider yourself set for your next meeting. However: If you — like me — feel most comfortable in casual style, the Graham Denim Shirt works admirably well. Despite the crisp spread collar,  the  Graham Denim Shirt should work just as reliably with even your most laidback off-duty pieces. So, don’t be afraid to team it with slim chino shorts and classic white sneakers for a long weekend brunch or a trip to your local farmer’s market. And it’ll even work with the most pared-down of style combos. Take the Graham Denim Shirt and pair it with minimal, slim black denim and leather high-top sneakers, to start. That’s an ensemble that’ll work in the summer, the fall, the winter, as you dress for a rock concert … it’s a winner all the way through.

Yet right now — in these trying, heated times — I’d wear it with tailored linen trousers and brown leather loafers, along with a stylish  leather watch. To where, you ask? To the office and to happy hour afterward, or to your next summer wedding underneath a classic navy blazer. Heck, take this shirt, team it with olive chinos and classic suede chukkas, amd consider yourself set for a decidedly stylish, slightly Italian Casual Friday. Again, as much as you might love your favorite summer polo, the  Graham Denim Shirt is a reliable way to switch up your style rotation in any situation  you can dream up. And the best part? You can snag the  Graham Denim Shirt at a discount through Huckberry for just under $76 (at the time of this writing, that is). Hurry while it’s around, though. Have questions on how to style the  Graham Denim Shirt? Ideas as to how you’ll wear it? Leave ’em in the comments below, or catch up with me on Twitter — I’m friendly, promise!

Thanks for reading — enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Style Pick of the Week: Todd Snyder x P.F. Flyers Rambler Hi Sneakers

Todd Snyder x P.F. Flyers

Handsome, well-made and easily wearable — even in the summer. That’s today’s Style Pick.

We’re going into somewhat uncharted territory today as we consider the stellar Todd Snyder x P.F. Flyers Rambler Hi Sneakers. That is, unlike your typical pair of classic summer sneakers — white canvas sneakers or leather slip-ons, for instance — we’re recommending high-top leather sneakers in summer today at The Style Guide. So, bear with me — we’re in this together, and you’re going to like the stellar quality and excellent style the Rambler Hi delivers. Trust me. You really get the best of both worlds — the rugged-refined, heritage-inspired menswear design of New York City’s Todd Snyder, plus the classic silhouette and terrific quality of the P.F. Flyers Rambler Hi.

It’s among a series of items from classic brands that Mr. Snyder has revamped –including the Timex x Todd Snyder Mod Watch — these are welcome #menswear collabs, indeed. And the recently released Todd Snyder x P.F. Flyers Rambler Hi Sneakers are the underrated summer shoes you didn’t know you needed — certainly, they’re among the best sneakers for men. Yes, that’s right — I’m a fan of these, and I think you should be, too.  And what better place to go to get them than a veritable one-stop shop for all your favorite men’s gear? That’d be Bespoke Post. If you’re not familiar, best acquaint yourself now, because it’s the place to go to get the Rambler Hi … and plenty more. Back to the task at hand, though. Why are we reaching for stylish high-top sneakers in summer? For starters, these are crisp, classic and easy to wear — no matter the season. They’re not heavy leather boots, that much is true. And the quality on the Todd Snyder x P.F. Flyers Rambler Hi Sneakers? Well, the kicks are certainly up to snuff.

Todd Snyder

Subtle branding touches from both Todd Snyder and P.F. Flyers make this pair more than your average set of kicks.

It starts with the recognizable silhouette and tough P.F. Flyers construction — a brand trademark that’s going to make these comfortable to wear for hours, whether you’re dressing for a summer music festival or schlepping a cooler to your next weekend barbecue.  The exterior of the Rambler Hi is applause-worthy, too — made from premium Cheveux leather, these kicks aren’t a standard pair of athletic sneakers or canvas sneakers. That gives them a slightly dressy, refined edge — feel free to pair them with high-low style combos, like American-made light wash denim and an unstructured blazer, plus a chambray shirt. That versatility means you can also dress them down — as in, throwing on your favorite pair of slim chinos and a classic grey pocket tee.

Nautica

Subtle design touches make a difference when it comes to the Rambler Hi, too.  In this instance, flat waxed cotton laces lend a premium look and feel, at the same time providing some welcome contrast to the rich leather upper. Again, it’s the little details that make the difference in matters of style, and those details should certainly extend to your new favorite sneakers. Can you feel me? And even subtler co-branded details make these special. The Todd Snyder heel tab logo is a touch you won’t find on other P.F. Flyers sneakers — yet another factor that makes the Todd Snyder x P.F. Flyers Rambler Hi Sneakers a special pair of kicks. With all that being said … are you on-board with stylish high-top sneakers in the summer months? Let me know in the comments, and feel free to check in with me on Twitter. I’ll write back, I promise!

For now — enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Style Pick of the Week: Bespoke Post Weekender Box

Bespoke Post Weekender Box

Available in a plethora of colors, the Weekender Box is likely the best value on the market when it comes to a durable, handsome and stylish weekender bag.

If you’re still searching for a stylish weekender bag, you’ve come to the right place today. Better yet, if you’re looking for a deal that’s affordable as heck, high-quality and very stylish, the Bespoke Post Weekender Box is the absolute next thing you should purchase … right this instant. What separates the Weekender Box from any regular old weekender bag? In short, it’s the combination of accessibility, affordability and style that you’re not going to find anywhere else on the market. As in — the  Weekender Box  costs at most, $55. Yes, that’s right. How so? If you’re not familiar with Bespoke Post, the company offers a monthly subscription plan that’ll ship boxes of stylish, unique and extremely useful goods to your door, time and again.  What exactly is in these boxes? It could be handsome and functional audio gear, like the Bespoke Post Vibes Box, or it could be something as summer-ready as the Bespoke Post Chill Box (a durable cooler and portable beer glasses). Ultimately, the choice is yours. I’ll tell you this, though: If you sign up for Bespoke Post, you can get boxes for just $45. In my years of menswear writing (and avidly shopping Bespoke Post), there’s not a better deal out there. And that’s particularly the case when it comes to the  Weekender Box. Seriously … a durable weekender bag for just $45? It’s true, and it’s got the quality specs to give you some great bang for your buck.

Greats
Available in a plethora of colors — I personally like the handsome Olive option the most — the Weekender Box is the kind of bag it can take a while to find. After all, the Bespoke Post Weekender Box is functional, affordable and great-looking. It’s a custom design made by Bespoke Post, and it features a sturdy canvas exterior that’ll age  nicely the more you use it. If I were you, I’d certainly use this thing as much as I could — from a summer road trip to a stylish beach getaway, it’s certainly got plenty of room to handle everything on your menswear shopping list.

The cotton webbing shoulder strap on this particular weekend bag should prove durable and sturdy, giving you more than enough room to pack it full of everything from your favorite summer sneakers to slim chinos and perhaps … a slim chambray shirt to round things out? And that’s another bonus when it comes to the Bespoke Post Weekender Box — it’ll look as great as the gear you pack inside, what with a versatile color and simple-yet-rich leather accents. With plenty of summer travel on the horizon, I wouldn’t wait one more second to order the Weekender Box — are you with me? Let me know if you plan to buy it over on Twitter. Happy shopping and safe travels out there!

Style Pick of the Week: Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainer

One brand that makes two ridiculously good-looking sneakers in a modern update of a vintage silhouette? Too good to be true, right? Not with Beckett Simonon.

Quick, look at your feet. Are you wearing stylish summer sneakers? Better yet, are you wearing anything from Beckett Simonon? If the answer to those two questions was “No,” you’re in luck today — and all you have to do is sit back, click a few buttons to cement a pre-order and consider yourself set. Yes indeed folks, we’re talking about the eye-catching, unique and well-made Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainer as part of our ongoing Style Pick of the Week series — and boy, is there a lot to talk about. Beckett Simonon crafts its footwear using exacting methods, and that’s why it pays to pre-order and then wait for the results. I was lucky enough to check out a pair of the brand’s beautiful leather chukkas during a fall weekend in New York last year, and I was mighty pleased.

The folks at Beckett Simonon know what they’re doing every step of the way. And in this case, you’re getting highly discounted deals on a range of product aside from the handsome, vintage-inspired Morgen Trainer, too. The brand offers up different collections every month, focused on everything from stylish Italian leather belts to functional and fashionable leather backpacks and a truly stunning array of simple yet handsome men’s dress shoes. What’s the upshot of all this? That is to say, you get either the full-grain, calfskin leather and water-resistant suede of the Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainer in Navy or the Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainer in White from the same brand that makes such intricately crafted dress shoes. In short, that means you’re getting one great-looking pair of sneakers at a heck of a price. Hey, maybe you’re getting more than one pair — that is, if you also pick up the Morgen Trainer in Black  in addition to the two stunning sneakers shown at the top of the page. Yes indeed, any of the three colorways should make any list of the best sneakers for men — without a doubt.
Nautica

Beckett Simonon

A super-sleek, modern take on the utilitarian Germany Army Trainer. Nicely done, Beckett Simonon.

Why go for sneakers that cost as much — at full retail — as your favorite pair of dress shoes? That, my friends, is simple. Trust me — with the sort of step-by-step care  and construction normally reserved for suit-ready shoes, the Morgen Trainer is classic, crisp and eye-catching. It’s not every day you can say that about a pair of sneakers, and that’s a great thing for discerning shoppers like you and me when it comes to the Morgen Trainers (in each of this sneaker’s three highly wearable colors). Inspired by the original design of the German Army Trainer, the silhouette of these shoes is rooted in functionality — and yet nowadays, kicks like the Morgen Trainers look just as great with slim light wash denim and a patterned short-sleeve shirt as they do with more utilitarian gear.  You also get the construction that comes with a well-made and distinctive contrasting rubber sole — not too often found on today’s more minimal sneakers. With all of those bonuses, it’s going to be mighty tough to resist picking up any colorway of the Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainer — and waiting for them to arrive at your doorstep is going to be that much harder.

Will you be picking up these handsome, versatile sneakers? Let me know in the comments!

Style Pick of the Week: Flint and Tinder All-American Washed Jeans

Available in either Slim or Straight fits, the Flint and Tinder All-American Washed Jeans are a versatile summer style option.

Before we kick things off — yes, I’m definitely recommending denim in the summer. More specifically, I’m recommending the Flint and Tinder All-American Washed Jeans, the latest addition to the brand’s stellar, ever-growing lineup of summer style essentials-. Flint and Tinder is the in-house, American-made brand from my pals at Huckberry, if you’re not familiar. However, if you read our Style Pick of the Week series at The Style Guide, you’re surely well-acquainted with the consistently stylish, rugged and versatile work being done by Flint and Tinder. Despite the summer heat, stylish light wash jeans definitely belong on your seasonal shopping list — they work on breezy summer nights or for summer travel style in equal measure, and Flint and Tinder certainly knows how to make ’em. The brand’s skill set encompasses comfortable favorites, like the Flint and Tinder Garment-Dyed Sweatpants, as well as breezy transitional layering pieces like the Flint and Tinder Slub Henley. And crucially, if you’ve been in need of sharp, versatile denim to add to your closet, the Flint and Tinder All-American Washed Jeans are the way to go. Truly, you shouldn’t count out denim in the summer months — with either Slim or Straight fit options available, the All-American Washed Jeans are crafted for just about any casual style situation you face. And they’ve got the durable, rugged specs for plenty of wear, including construction that’s encompasses made-in-the-USA quality.

Flint and Tinder

A classic button fly and quality cotton denim — plus a unique wash — make the Flint and Tinder All-American Jeans very worthy of your dollars this summer.

The quality starts with a custom-designed 11oz. cotton denim from the lauded denim purveyors at North Carolina’s White Oak Cone Mills Denim — they make absolutely the finest-quality stuff in the United States. As part of the process, each pair of All-American Washed Jeans are unique thanks to a hand-washing and weaving process — no two pairs are alike. The vintage wash treatment also makes these jeans soft and comfortable, complete with a hint of helpful stretch. That means you should feel free to wear them with easygoing staples like a slim striped tee and classic suede chukkas at your next casual patio dinner or stylish summer barbecue. And because of the two polished fit options — again, Straight fit is available if you’re partial to that direction — you can even wear them to the office. Not sold? Try the All-American Washed Jeans with a slim white polo, leather tassel loafers and a lightweight khaki blazer to start.

Timex

For more easygoing style, try them out with your favorite pair of summer sneakers and a slim short-sleeve henley — add in a rugged dive watch, and you’re particularly well-dressed for hitting up a summer baseball game or grabbing some brews with your buddies. And because they’re American-made, you’re getting quality that’s built to last well through this summer. The great thing about well-made denim in a vintage wash is that it can even pull double duty come fall — keep these handy to wear with a shawl-collar cardigan and tough leather boots to step through falling leaves (seriously!). Are you a fan of the  All-American Washed Jeans? If they’re on your shopping list, let me know over on Twitter. Remember: You can (and should!) make stylish light wash jeans part of your summer wardrobe.

That’s it, that’s all I’ve got today! For now — thanks for reading!
