For years, you’ve likely had a closet or dresser drawer jammed with tees. Style Suggestion: Wear This Casual Outfit to Work Remotely

OK, step right on up — we’re talking today on The Style Guide about a somewhat difficult style conundrum that seems to be popping up more often in today’s economy of the 21st century. To get right to the point: We’re covering the best #menswear to wear to work remotely — so, how to dress for comfort and style when working from home, working on the road or working from your favorite Brooklyn coffee shop (as I so often do on weekends and my days off from the old day job).  One thing is clear — you need plenty of the best men’s gear to keep you going. And what are my top picks (and possibly yours, too)?The trick is to keep it simple, stylish and certatinly not sloppy. Think a bit like a business casual look, yet … more casual. And yes, even if you’re not in the office, dressing a bit better ramps up your focus and productivity just a bit. Let’s start with a classic Oxford shirt and team it with other reliable basics — slim grey chinos, a trusty pair of classic suede chukka boots and other favorites — including a timeless leather watch and plenty more.  Are you ready? Is a T-shirt ever really just a T-shirt? Certainly not, especially if it’s the Outerknown Pagoda Stripe Tee — today’s choice #menswear pick for your reading (and purchasing?) pleasure. #OOTD: A New Way to Wear Linen Trousers for Summer

By now, you’ve probably realized one crucial thing: The heat is unequivocally here to stay. So, how do you dress to beat the heat and yet still look great? Especially when considering that changing seasons still necessitate your best menswear? Well, that’s what we’re here to help out with today at The Style Guide.  It starts first with looking at the fabrics you’re wearing — particularly on your bottom half. Breathability and comfort are key — as is a tailored, yet mobile, fit. That’s where linen trousers — or in this case, cotton-linen trousers from Style Guide favorites Bridge and Burn — come in handy. Certainly, they should be on your list of summer style essentials. #OOTD: How to Dress for a Music Festival This Summer

Can you feel it in the air? Yes? No? Maybe you can … hear it? That’s right, summer festival season is upon us, truly now.  And of course, with that comes a crucial question: How to dress for a music festival this summer?  If you already made the pilgrimage to the two-weekend extravaganza that is Coachella, you surely got a taste of what’s to come: Hot weather and crowds filled with far-too-trendy teens. I kid, I kid — we all know there’s excellent music and cold beer to be had, too. Whether you’re gearing up to attend NYC’s Governors Ball this weekend — as I will be — or a festival a bit later in the summer (like Panorama or Bonnaroo), we’ll set you up with simple-yet-stylish gear to take you festival-hopping from stage to stage, all day long. So, if you’ve checked your calendar — or the weather forecast as of late — you might have realized we’re likely getting closer to what some might call the dreaded “polar vortex.” I’m no meteorologist, but we’ve been through some pretty chilly cycles already — and January is a prime month for huge snowstorms slamming the country. With that in mind, we’re tackling a functional men’s style suggestion — a past entry in this site’s #OOTD series covered how to dress for the first snowfall, but a polar vortex or blizzard is a different beast entirely. It’s different than casually layering up for winter or dressing for a weekend coffee date, that’s for sure. For one, it’s colder, windier and sometimes, just plain uncomfortable to navitage. That’s why the gear below is harder-wearing, tougher and not quite office-friendly if you need to suit up frequently. But, what guy can’t use a durable parka or rugged winter accessories? Exactly.
