Fall 2017 Men’s Style Wish List

Today marks a post that I always look forward to here at The Style Guide — a look toward a new season, the start of the best time in menswear …. our annual Fall Style Wish List. If you can believe it, this is a tradition that dates all the way back to 2014 … pretty wild, ehh? And the good news is, we’re back this year with a list of men’s style essentials that’s even bigger and better than ever. Fall ties together so many things that make #menswear great, from the opportunity to pile on added layers to the chance to step out in rugged gear at nearly all times. So, stylish wingtip boots, a rugged striped henley and dark blue denim all join our wardrobe rotations yet again. Trust me, this is the gear to buy for the season. And plenty of brands are harkening back toward classic styles while updating them with modern fits and fabrics. That means we’ve got plenty of rugged style essentials to cover in our Fall 2017 Style Wish List. Without further ado … stow your beach gear, put away those flip-flops and load up on the best menswear for the fall season. Style Suggestion: Here’s What to Wear for Labor Day Weekend

It’s summer’s last gasp, and it’s here already. Bring on Labor Day, and let’s start the never-ending quest as to what to wear for Labor Day weekend. Well, folks … that’s a bit dramatic, but your search ends today at The Style Guide. It’s a weekend that calls to mind any number of potentially tricky men’s style scenarios. After all, you’ve likely got to dress for a road trip … while also packing enough gear to wear to a weekend BBQ or head to the beach. We didn’t say it wasn’t a busy weekend, that’s for sure. It’s a great way to close out summer and look toward fall, and with that being said, it’s a weekend to approach with transitional style in mind. The gear you bring with you needs to toe the line between casual and laidback, yet appropriate for the situation. From manning the grill to stoking the bonfire, I think the below men’s style picks have something for everyone. That means we’re reaching for a ridiculously stylish Taylor Stitch shirt-jacket, plus an American-made T-shirt and classic khaki shorts — among other choice selections. #OOTD: How to Wear a Blazer When It’s Hot This Summer

Let’s get down to business right off the bat — in the remaining time we’ve got this summer, you should certainly be considering how to wear a blazer this summer. That’s especially true for when it’s hot out — like, really hot out. You’ll surely need all the help you can get. It seems simple enough at first, yet there are plenty of #menswear tips and tricks to consider when throwing on a streamlined suit jacket or a lightweight, classic blazer. For one, you’re going to want to start your search for the perfect summer jacket by going both lighter in weight and lighter in color — fabric blends that incorporate linen, like the option we’ll discuss in today’s #OOTD, are the way to go. The Friday Read: Last-Minute Father’s Day Gifts, Style Girlfriend and Taylor Stitch

We’re here on the cusp of another weekend — and the start of another Friday Read — here at ye olde Style Guide. Can you believe June is flying by? And we’ve got a big weekend coming up, too — it’s Father’s Day, after all! But more on that in a bit.
